01. Manning Equation

The Manning Equation is an empirical formula that describes a relationship between depth and velocity under ideal conditions and is commonly used to design sewer systems.  This relationship is depicted here as a pipe curve and provides a convenient reference to evaluate flow monitoring data.  The Manning Equation is an important component of the scattergraph and can be applied using three methods:  the Design Method, the Lanfear-Coll Method, and the Stevens-Schutzbach Method.
