Hydra-Stop - Insta-Dam
Major service disruptions and shutdowns of critical water, wastewater, and gas distribution systems for general maintenance and repair can now be eliminated with Hydra-Stop's new Insta-Dam Line Stopping System. Conventional repair methods are time consuming and costly, often shutting down entire buildings or facilities. The Insta-Dam System requires one-third the time of methods such as pipe freezing, eliminating the need for system shutdowns.
At one-third the cost of conventional line stopping methods, the Insta-Dam System incorporates patented "stopper" technology including cylindrical and bullet shapes to temporarily block the flow of water or gas in pipes ranging in size from 3/4" to 4". Suitable for cast iron, asbestos cement, steel pit cast, ductile iron, and plastic (C900 and IPS Base PVC) pipe, Insta-Dam is environmentally friendly, requiring no environmental contaminants such as cholorofluorocarbons, including Freon. Rated to 100 PSI, Insta-Dam is also efficient for changing out water meters and backflow preventions.
Small, yet rugged, Insta-Dam can be easily handled by one person in any environment, including overhead pipe installations. Compatible with Hydra-Stop's entire Hydra-Stop product line, including Insta-Valve, Insta-Dam can also be converted for stand-alone line tapping.
Designed for utilities, large mechanical and industrial contractors, as well as smaller plumbing contractors that typically do not work with larger diameter pipes and fittings, Insta-Dam is a perfect fit for those working in both residential and commercial/industrial settings.
